- Township High School District 211 is Illinois' largest school
district serving Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Palatine and
Schaumburg, as well as parts of Arlington Heights, Elk Grove
Village, Hanover Park, Rolling Meadows, South Barrington and
Streamwood. All five high schools in the district have been
named Blue Ribbon Schools. The district considers its
strengths to include a strong academic curriculum; advanced
degrees held by more than 80 percent of faculty; supportive
parents and a strong, supporting tax base.
- Township High School District 214 serves Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove,
Elk Grove Village, Mount Prospect, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows and Wheeling. District 214's mission is "to
help all students learn the skills, acquire the knowledge and develop the behaviors necessary for them to reach
their full potential as citizens who can meet the challenges of a changing society." District strengths include
85 percent of teachers holding advanced degrees; libraries totaling 240,000 books; technology centers; college
and career centers, and writing and language labs.
